In October 2008, Rick Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Atlanta-based Jackson Healthcare, proposed a radical plan to revamp the healthcare system. Since then, healthcare has taken center stage as the current administration spearheads an aggressive reform of the current U.S. healthcare system.
Despite the diatribes, political rhetoric and propaganda that have saturated the news, Jackson's core argument remains as relevant as ever: the relationship between physicians and their patients has been severed. Jackson believes this relationship is the foundation for a healthcare system that is affordable, accessible, efficient, safe and continually improving.

Jackson Surgical Assistants uses precision process management to help hospitals with recruiting, placement, scheduling and billing support of trained clinicians to assist during surgery-ultimately raising operating room profitability.

Staffing Industry Analysts, Inc. (SIA) has named Jackson Healthcare one of the fastest growing staffing companies in the U.S. for the third consecutive year. The SIA report was published last week and ranks firms with compound average annual growth of 25 percent or more between 2004 and 2008, with revenue adjusted for inflation. The number of firms ranked fell to 52 from the 65 that were included on last year's list.

Jackson Healthcare (JH) dedicated its new corporate headquarters on October 17, 2008. The building houses the six operating companies and over 400 associates of JH that are based in Atlanta. Associates had significant input into the design of the building from planning their individual company work areas to providing significant impetus for creating a physical fitness center, restaurant, and other common areas. According to Shane Jackson, Executive Vice-President for Jackson Healthcare, "This building is dedicated to our associates and is proof of our investment in our people. We support their living a holistic life. The 'workscapes' are designed to give a roomy and comfortable feeling. Down to the smallest detail, we selected furnishings, artwork, carpet, and wall colors so that our associates would be proud of where they live during the day."In his remarks, Richard L. Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Jackson Healthcare, stated: "May this building provide an atmosphere and environment for our associates to accomplish greatness. Jackson Healthcare (JH) has been named the 5th largest healthcare staffing company ranked by total revenue by the Staffing Industry Analyst (SIA) Report. Compiled each year by SIA, firms are ranked on the list by temporary staffing revenue generated in the United States. In the October, 2008 edition of the SIR newsletter, JH was also ranked as the 3rd largest Allied Health staffing company, the 3rd largest Locum Tenens staffing company and the 6th largest Travel Nurse Staffing company. Jackson Healthcare is not only one of the largest staffing companies, it is also the fastest growing healthcare staffing company with over $100 million dollars of revenues according to SIA's 2008 fastest growing staffing companies list. The company is also the second largest private company that is 100% owned by its Associates.

Jackson Healthcare is ranked 40th on the list when ranking companies by gross dollars of growth and 60th on the list when ranking companies by total revenues. These rankings represent significant growth as Jackson Healthcare revenues were over 260 million dollars in 2006. Jackson Healthcare improved its overall ranking from 1,670 to 1247th overall.
