Jackson Healthcare announced that 191 hospital community
programs are participating in the 2012 Hospital Charitable Service
Awards. Programs come from hospital systems spanning all types and
sizes across the U.S.
Throughout the month of September, all nominations will be
reviewed by a nomination committee and advisory board chaired by
Charles R. Evans, FACHE.
Finalists will be announced in a conference call on
Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern
Time. Winners, referred to as "Programs of
Excellence," will be announced at a banquet following the National
Charitable Services Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on February 13,
This Awards program, founded in 2010, is sponsored by Jackson
Healthcare. It recognizes hospitals whose commitment to their
community-whether defined locally, regionally, nationally or
globally-has led to innovative, sustainable and collaborative
efforts to improve community health and increase access to
healthcare education and services.
