The Hospital Charitable Service Awards honors
hospital-sponsored programs that set new standards for health and
wellness in their communities through education, access and
delivery.
We want to recognize hospitals whose commitment to their
community-whether defined locally, regionally, nationally or
globally-has led to innovative, sustainable and collaborative
efforts to improve community health and increase access to
healthcare education and services.
Our hope is that your health program will inspire others
to identify and address community health needs in sustainable
ways.
We're looking for health programs whose efforts go beyond the
traditional definitions of "community benefit" and "free care" to
both identify and satisfy tangible community health needs.
Educational services, health screenings, support groups, and
medical mission work are just a few of the possible community-based
services that have participated in this Awards program.
Learn how other hospitals have contributed to the communities they
serve, and tell us how your organization is making a difference by
nominating a
community health program and sharing its story.
- Create greater awareness of the amazing gifts
hospitals offer their communities
- Celebrate the accomplishments of hospital
programs that stand as beacons of community service for the
underserved
- Share existing "best practices" for delivering
and funding community health programs
- Connect hospitals with innovative approaches
and new opportunities to serving the underserved
All hospital-funded community programs are eligible to
participate regardless of the size, tax or ownership model.
